Set in the harsh, frozen landscapes of the northern Empire of Soga, an epic Saga unfolds. The Empire has long been under siege by the monstrous Oni—ferocious demons that threaten the northernmost realms. Following years of devastating conflict, which pushed the Sogan people to their limits, the Empire's leaders planned a decisive offensive against the Oni's stronghold. However, their strategy was disastrously disrupted by a cunning ambush.
Now, the Empire's destiny rests with four valiant heroes: Anari, Seigen, Tharos, and Na’ra. Each hero, endowed with unique abilities and bound by a shared destiny, stands as the last beacon of hope against the encroaching darkness.
As players assume the roles of these heroes, they must prepare for a perilous journey filled with danger and intrigue. The treacherous ascents of Mt. Byōdō loom ahead, fraught with malevolent forces eager to halt their progress. Players will need to muster all their courage, strength, and wit as they navigate this hazardous terrain and confront the evil that lurks in every shadow.
